Phillip Merritt Gillis is a teacher, writer, wanderer, musician, gamer, and un-retired professional wrestler. In his spare time, he is as likely to listen to Sturgill and Billy Strings as he is to listen to the WuTang Clan and Bob Mould’s old punk albums. He is married to the love of his life (Candace Jane), father of two beautiful children (Darby and Jack), and uncle (Hayes, Allie B, and Emory). He is also a proud native of Allensville, N.C. and grew up in a hardware store, C&G Supply Center.
